Remodel Your Web Site: Don't Move -- ImproveJuly 27, 2007; 05:33 AM Just as the home remodeling industry touted its mantra "don't move, improve" and aging neighborhoods became coveted places to live, the Bizyweb Place Management application was designed to remodel web sites. By using existing web pages as templates, areas on a page called 'places' can be made editable using familiar desktop keystrokes highlight and click in the Bizyweb Enabler, a rich Internet application. Then, using the Bizyweb Place Editor, the content in each 'place' can be changed. Only the enabled places can be edited, thus preserving the look and feel of the page. Pages can be cloned and modified to create new content. This new concept of fine-grained website maintenance and management is called Place Management. Each place is governed by a Place Manager™. The application comes with a standard suite of Place Managers. The advanced version includes an Application Programming Interface (API) to develop your own Place Managers. Please see the feature comparison between versions at bizyweb.com, the product site. Bizyweb also provides a content store where articles and images can be uploaded asynchronously for subsequent use in places. All of this functionality is available through a connection to the Internet and a browser. Bizyweb is a rich Internet application co-located with your website. Register at bizyweb.com to read the whitepapers in the whitepaper library, including use cases, how to edit a page and other examples. Documentation and product download are also available.
