June 6, 2007; 04:55 AM
Maven Networks and Univision Online, Inc., the interactive subsidiary of Univision Communications Inc., today announced that Univision.coms new consumer video web portal is being powered by the Maven Internet TV Platform. Univision.com is enhancing its online video offerings to the Hispanic market, the countrys fastest growing segment of the online population.

Univision.com is the most visited Spanish-language website in the United States with over 15 million unique browsers per month.* The website offers original and exclusive entertainment, music, news and sports with 12 specialty channels that showcase premium content all geared toward the interests of the ever-increasing Hispanic audience. The new video portal leverages Mavens Internet TV Platform to support thousands of video assets throughout the Univision website. Univision.com is integrating key Maven features into its video portal, including scalable video publishing workflow and dynamic playlists for automated content updates. Univision.com is also leveraging custom work to achieve a unique player design and enhanced navigation. Additionally, the Maven Internet TV Platform is enabling Spanish-language community features, such as "send to a friend" and the ability to embed a mini-viral player to allow for content sharing and increased distribution. These features ensure a superior user experience and encourage deeper and more valuable consumer engagement.

Univision.com is focused on the creation of compelling and unique content that our audience and advertisers are craving, said Javier Saralegui, President, Univision Online. By partnering with Maven, were able to quickly and easily deliver video content and build upon our mass audience reach, while driving consumer engagement.

Were excited to be working with the leading Spanish-language website in the United States, said Hilmi Ozguc, Founder and CEO of Maven Networks. Hispanic online users are expected to grow to over 20 million by 2010, and clearly this is a vital audience. By working with Maven, major media companies not only recognize the ease of building compelling and custom online experiences, but also realize the financial benefits that come with owning the customer and advertiser relationships.
