iPost Announces Autotarget -- the Next Generation of Email Analytics

iPost is pleased to announce today that Autotarget predictive analytic technology is fully integrated into the iPost Mailing Manager (iMM) and is now entering beta testing with full production release this summer.

Autotarget technology provides a highly effective tool for predicting customer responses to marketing efforts with a low-barrier to entry. Using traditional RFM data (recency, frequency, and monetary) in addition to metrics for customer interactions unique to the online world such as clicks and views, Autotarget technology is an innovative adaptation of a proven marketing model. Unlike other approaches to customer segmentation, Autotarget technology allows virtually real-time analysis of 100% of the subscriber list.

Analyzing behavioral data from a clients email marketing and from external sources such as e-commerce websites or web analytics tools, Autotarget technology can create personas customers who are likely to respond similarly. Every interaction, whether it is an email message or a purchase, is counted as criteria toward predicting future behavior. Getting data from external sources into Autotarget is facilitated by iPost integration plug-ins, or by use of the iPost Simple Data Format (ISDF).

Development of Autotarget technology, led by Stephen Webster, Chief Strategy Officer at iPost and Dr. Barton Schaefer, iPosts CTO, began in late 2006.
