Online Market World Gains Broad Industry Support

May 29, 2007; 03:11 AM
Online Market World, a broad e-commerce event set to debut at Moscone Center West Hall in San Francisco October 3 - 5, 2007 is attracting the support of vendors, service providers, industry associations, publications, and online media. This morning, its producer, The Chase Group, announced that the Business Marketing Association (BMA), the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), the Web Analytics Association (WAA), the Web Marketing Association (WMA) and wsRadio have signed on as sponsors. Other participating organizations include Allurent, Baynote, ChannelAdvisor, Doba, eBay,
Endicia, GOT Corporation, HammerTap, Infopia, Optimost, PayPal, U-PIC, and Zoovy, among others.

"Online Market World is being created for the industry by the industry," said Lisa Morgan, Senior Vice President of Programs and Education at Online Market World. "We're very excited about the participation of BMA, USPS, WAA, WMA, and wsRadio as each organization adds significant value to the event."

Online Market World was created in response to market demand for a broad industry forum that provides a "big picture view" of the evolution of e-commerce. Toward that end, the event will cover the entire e-commerce lifecycle from business, IT, marketing, and operational perspectives. The goal is to help e-commerce professionals better understand how to evolve their e-businesses and IT infrastructures in a manner that allows them to become more profitable and competitive over time. The event will also shed light on emerging trends in marketing, sales, customer service, payment and fulfillment with expert commentary by more than 200 speakers including:

      * John Favalo, chairman of BMA and managing director of interactive agency John Mower & Associates; * Bill Rice, president of WMA; and * RSS Ray from wsRadio's Online Marketing with RSS Ray show.

Online Market World will kick off on October 3, 2007 with a pre-conference that features conferences produced by Online Market World partners including the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance, the E-Commerce Merchants Trade Association, Dealerweek.com and Optimost. The main conference, which follows on October 4 and 5, 2007 features some of the most influential companies and leaders in the e-commerce. Complementing the program will be an exhibition that features 50+ exhibits, a Presentation Theatre, the OMW Lounge, the Dealerweek.com Pavilion, and more.
