MarketGrabber Video and RSS Add Sizzle and Steak to Marketplace Web Sites

April 5, 2007; 08:11 AM
MarketGrabber software, used for building classified advertising and community web sites, now supports Video Clips and RSS feeds. Video makes a site more interesting and useful to visitors. RSS feeds help fill a new web site with content the day the site goes live.

The MarketGrabber Video Clips Add On makes it easy to embed video clips into classifieds, real estate listings, job postings, business advertisements, resumes, and personals. YouTube, Google Video, Yahoo Video and other online video hosting services all provide users with simple code to “embed” stored video into other web pages. MarketGrabber now makes it easy to include embedded video clips in listings. Having video in listings makes a site more interesting and useful to site visitors. A sample of embedded video in a MarketGrabber site can be seen at www.springsguide.com/DisplayAd.asp?id=8183.

The MarketGrabber RSS Input Add On makes it easy to include data from RSS feeds into a web site built with MarketGrabber. This helps solve one of the most vexing problems for new site owners, how to get content into a site it is new. For example, a new Employment site can now include jobs from other sites such as Monster.com using RSS feeds provided by Monster. A sample of this can be seen at www.springsguide.com/Employment/Browse.asp?cid=24.

MarketGrabber Video Clips and RSS Input are two new ways that marketplace sites can take advantage of Web 2.0 collaboration services in their own web sites.
