The New MyCitrix.com Site Makes It Faster and Easier to Conduct Business With Citrix on the Web

October 25, 2006; 05:32 AM
Today at its ninth annual business and technology conference, Citrix iForum™ Global 06, Citrix Systems, Inc., the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, announced it has revamped the MyCitrix.com site which will make it much easier for customers and partners to do business with Citrix on the Web. About 80,000 users come to MyCitrix.com each month to conduct business. They come to renew their subscriptions, download software, activate licenses, upgrade products, access product previews, get support and more. Now, when customers login into MyCitrix.com they will enjoy a completely personalized experience based on the products they own. The goal is to make the site a valued destination where customers can better manage their Citrix business anytime they need.

Once logged in, MyCitrix.com serves content based on the user’s role, including product information, reference tools and applications. For example, a customer will be notified when their current Citrix Subscription Advantage™ program is up for renewal and can immediately renew it online before it expires. Customers can also manage their Citrix product licenses online and have the ability to view their total purchased licenses, the portion of licenses in use and those that were previously allocated. Information about product upgrades and new products will also be available based on the products the customer already owns. MyCitrix.com combines all the content on the public Citrix.com site with the content on the password-protected MyCitrix.com site to provide a seamless, content-rich experience from one location. Overall, the new site makes it easier for customers to manage their relationship with Citrix, stay current, and learn about new products and upgrades – with the self-service convenience they want.

As part of the new MyCitrix.com, customers are able to take advantage of two new features – the Reference Desk and My Tools. The Reference Desk is a new search tool where users can search by topic. For example, a user can search by products and then select Citrix® NetScaler® to pull up all the resources having to do with that topic from both Citrix.com and MyCitrix.com. My Tools provides a drop-down menu to quickly and easily access all available applications and utilities in one place. Both the Reference Desk and My Tools features are available from any page within the site.

“Our new site is being driven with the customer in mind,” said Diane Kalmanowicz, director of Web marketing for Citrix. “We spent considerable time listening to what customers and partners wanted from our site to make them more productive in using the Web to manage their relationship with Citrix. The new MyCitrix.com is a direct result of what we learned, and it is just going to keep getting better.”

“In addition to the new features, we’ve revamped navigation, striving to make the tools, applications and most critical information customers need available with only a click or two from the homepage,” stated Kalmanowicz. “We want to ensure our customers have a best access experience in getting the information they need.”

This is just the first step in Citrix’s vision to deliver the best online experience to customers worldwide. Kalmanowicz said, “The company will continue to enhance the site to ensure delivery of the most relevant and valuable information to visitors, including international non-US users. The next phase of enhancements will focus on delivering more localized content to customers and ensuring information and tools are easily accessible and available in local languages for markets around the globe."
