Edgewater Networks EdgeMarc Converged Network Routers for Enterprise Telephony Support Minacom's VoIP Service Quality Testing

Minacom and Edgewater Networks announced that EdgeMarc converged networking routers now support Minacom's advanced VoIP service quality testing. Using Minacom's DirectQuality R7 active line testing capabilities, service providers hosting or managing enterprise VoIP services can enhance the monitoring of VoIP endpoints with EdgeMarc routers and the EdgeView VoIP Support System.

EdgeMarc routers acting as a combined demarcation point, router, gateway and firewall for VoIP services, support Minacom's RTP media quality testing by responding to SMRP-protocol loopback test calls. In addition to measurements collected by loopback tests to EdgeMarc devices, Minacom's DirectQuality R7 test automation OSS can query Edgewater Networks' EdgeView(TM) VoIP Support System to collect additional call-level metrics including MOS, jitter, latency and average call duration.
