Tilana Offers Online File Protection and Synchronization Service for Windows XP

Tilana Systems Corporation announced that it is entering beta testing of the new Tilana Reserve file protection and synchronization service. Beta testers can apply at the company's web site beginning in the first week of August 2006.

Tilana Reserve is uniquely positioned as CDP (Continuous Data Protection) that includes off-site storage, file syncing between computers, and version rollback of virtually any file in one low-priced Internet service.

"The major players currently targeting SMB and consumers typically offer only a portion of what we provide and the advanced solutions are priced out of range for the typical SMB or the home user."

Tilana Reserve uses a desktop software client to securely transmit files between the user's protected PC and personal remote storage space. And as a CDP solution Tilana Reserve provides complete file protection, which is far more valuable than the limited file protection offered by plain old-fashioned 'backup' in the scheduled sequential model.

The Tilana Reserve software is available for free download, installs in about a minute and requires little if any configuration. After the initial upload of protected files, the software sends only changes to files as they're saved, along with any new files as they appear in protected folders on the user's computer.

Changes to protected files are stored in the user's personal remote storage for as long as needed, and made immediately available through a version history palette in the desktop software control panel.

Users can choose to enable an unlimited number of computers with the free software, and synchronize files on those computers via their personal remote storage space.
