July 19, 2006; 04:07 AM Armedia LLC, provider of content management related products
and solutions in the United States, released a new deep export solution for
the EMC Documentum platform.
Currently EMC Documentum does not provide native functionality for
performing deep exports (exporting from an EMC Documentum repository to
a local drive all contents of any folder and its subfolders) in its Web
applications. Now, Armedia DeepExport provides this functionality as a
seamless and lightweight utility which once installed will act as a
native component to any of EMC Documentum's browser-based client
interfaces (such as Webtop, Documentum Administrator, Digital Asset
Manager, etc.).
"We are very pleased to be able to release this lightweight application
for EMC Documentum," said Jim Nasr, CEO at Armedia. "We have had
numerous client requests for a tool to allow the local export of
multiple files and folders together, since the current EMC Documentum
Web application interface limits the number of selected files to what
can be individually selected on the screen. We hope the new
functionality in Armedia DeepExport and its native integration to EMC
Documentum will provide an even richer experience for the EMC
Documentum user community."
Armedia DeepExport is a WDK (Web Development Kit) application
customization, designed according to the strict EMC Documentum WDK
guidelines to run natively on any WDK application (such as Webtop). Its
primary functionality is to export the files present in an EMC
Documentum repository folder sub-tree, reproducing the same relative
path structure on local storage. Armedia DeepExport is quickly and
easily installed as a server based WDK customization that once deployed
will be immediately available as a native browser-based function,
available as a menu action item, in any WDK based application to which
it has been deployed.
Armedia DeepExport builds on functionality already developed as part of
the EMC Documentum Designed For Documentum (DFD) Logo Certified Armedia
SCM application, the only source code management application for the
EMC Documentum platform.
