Actuate to Host Tenth Annual International User Conference; Leading Organizations and Technical Experts to Present on Setting Performance in Motion

The Actuate International User Conference 2006 will be held on August 21-23 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, Boston, MA. The conference will focus on how Actuate helps companies set their performance in motion, and will feature keynotes from industry luminaries and Actuate customers. The event will also reveal and showcase the winners of the annual Actuate Excellence Awards, which recognize customer innovation and exceptional return on investment. The conference offers 7 conference tracks that include more than 60 educational sessions. The educational sessions covers the Actuate Enterprise Reporting Application Platform, Actuate BIRT, and Performancesoft and will be delivered by customers and Actuate experts. The conference tracks are designed to help IT leaders and business users gain maximum value from Enterprise Reporting investments. Track themes currently scheduled include:

Actuate Deployment Operations: The Actuate iServer provides the highest performing and most scalable enterprise reporting application platform in the industry. These sessions will focus on how to fully leverage these capabilities in your applications, and how to tune your environment for the best performance, including new flexible deployment options available in Actuate 9.

Actuate Design Environments: Actuate provides a number of powerful development environments for creating flexible and customizable reports that target different user needs. During these sessions, gain knowledge through in-depth discussions of design environments including e.Spreadsheet Designer, e.Report Designer Professional, Information Object Designer, and new Actuate 9 products.

Best Practices & Implementation Stories: Real-world examples that showcase how Actuate technology is being used today. Sessions will include implementation stories, as well as case studies that highlight deployment, challenges, what worked and lessons learned.

Embedded Reporting: Educational sessions will include primary concepts and benefits of embedded reporting in J2EE applications including specific customer usage examples, brief overviews of data access, report design and delivery concepts using Actuate BIRT and e.Spreadsheet Engine.

Integration Technologies: This track dives into the variety of portals, enterprise applications, and data sources where Actuate can be easily and seamlessly integrated. Actuate's integration features and components such as Web Services support, Open Security, Information Objects and Actuate Portlets will be discussed in detail.

Performancesoft: Sessions include overviews of Performancesoft Views, Performancesoft Track and how to integrate Performancesoft with the Actuate platform.

Solution Showcase: Customer case studies will be presented focusing on Return on Investment and efficiencies gained as a result of Actuate deployment.

Several solutions demonstrations are planned at the Actuate International User Conference 2006 Partner Fair, and immediately following the event Actuate will offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced training courses suitable for Business Analysts, Experienced Developers and Application Administrators.
