FeedBurner, Inc., the world’s largest feed management provider, announced today that it is delivering all the RSS feeds for OSTG, Inc., the popular and leading network of technology-focused web sites for IT managers and development professionals. OSTG is also joining the FeedBurner Ad Network (FAN), enabling its advertisers to efficiently and effectively integrate targeted advertising into feeds reaching millions of subscribers.

The OSTG network features news, original articles, downloadable resources and community forums to promote participation among the technology community. The OSTG network includes Slashdot.org, SourceForge.net, ITManagersJournal.com, NewsForge.com, Linux.com, freshmeat.net, and ThinkGeek.com. In spring 2006, OSTG was named the top-ranked technology network on the web by Nielsen//NetRatings @Plan. In February 2006, Fortune magazine referred to Slashdot.org and SourceForge.net as “among the most important and emblematic Internet businesses of our age.” The network currently supports eight heavily subscribed RSS feeds. Statistics indicate that OSTG’s feed audience has tripled since its adoption of FeedBurner’s feed management services.

“We are delighted to be able to offer advertisers the opportunity to deliver pertinent, selective information to our fast-growing and loyal online community through the FeedBurner Ad Network,” said Rich Marino, Group President of OSTG, Inc. “FeedFoundry tells us that over 30 million ad impressions are available each month, and our available impressions have grown 10% in the last two months. This represents a tremendous growth area for us in 2007. OSTG brings together a highly proactive and interactive group of professionals that is keenly interested in new, innovative products and services. FeedBurner equips us with the most accurate tools to analyze that demographic group, providing our sales team with important statistics for advertisers interested in reaching our audience.”

OSTG uses FeedFoundry, FeedBurner’s service for aggregating, analyzing and reporting on a complex array of feed statistics, and the FeedFlare service to encourage subscribers to share and respond to content, to cross-promote OSTG-related content, and to integrate with OSTG-developed services throughout the OSTG network.

“OSTG’s network is a model participatory online community,” said Rick Klau, vice president of publisher services at FeedBurner. “Because of their network’s stunning popularity and highly subscribed feeds, OSTG and its advertisers will be well served by FeedBurner’s tools designed specifically for managing a large and complex set of feeds. We look forward to working with OSTG on this integral part of its content strategy to maximize the effectiveness of its feeds and deliver tangible results to its advertisers.”
