Real Estate Blogsites and MyST Technology Partners, Inc. announced and
demonstrated an advanced capability in MyST Blogsite that combines
blog stories and detailed information about real estate properties for
sale. Combining the two capabilities further increases the
discoverability of real estate listings by the Realtor's target
prospect with search engines such as Google or Yahoo.
With this new feature, blog content is easily enhanced with property
specific details such as address, price, and number of bedrooms in a
structured format that is more accurately seen and indexed by search
engines and in turn more easily discovered by prospects.
"Blogging about properties and communities is an excellent way to
enhance online visibility for agents as well as the seller's property,
however, the addition of structured information catapults visibility,"
remarked John Helmering, founder and CEO of Real Estate Blogsites.
"With this new feature, real estate agents and brokers will be able to
share their information more readily with Google Base which provides
extended discoverability for properties in Google Real Estate."
Structured blogging for real estate opens the door for future
integration capabilities that embrace emerging real estate portals such
as Trulia, Zillow, and Google Real Estate to name just a few of the
integrations possible. With the flex architecture of the MyST Blogsite
platform all of the integrations are easily achieved as part of the
syndication features already included in the base product.
Advertorial blogsites for business use have grown in popularity because
they provide additional ways to communicate with consumers and deepen
relationships with customers and prospects. Bill French, co-founder of
MyST Technology Partners and creator of MyST Blogsite, observed,
"Business blogsites provide ways to extend your brand and participate
in the blogosphere, a place where your avid customers and best
prospects are conversing. Combining structured information with this
proven method for increasing online visibility, raises the ceiling of
visibility.
Real estate blogging will experience a new dimension of publishing ease
and integration with other Web services that can leverage details about
properties for sale." Early tests suggest that the discoverability for
structured blog content in concert with traditional blog posts is much
higher than either in isolation. MyST will continue to validate these
early tests during Q4 2006.
Real Estate Blogsites will be demonstrating the new structured
blogging capabilities at the National Association of Realtors 2006
REALTORS Conference & Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana November 9th
through 12th at booth #2060. MyST Technology Partners will make
structured blogging support for real estate available through December,
2006 exclusively through Real Estate Blogsites. General availability
of structured blogging support is anticipated in the first quarter of
2007.
