Bostech Corporation, an enterprise application integration company, announced that it is forming a Java Business Integration Developer Advisory Panel in preparation for the release of its graphical Java Business Integration (JBI) application.

The open source version of the application, ChainBuilder ESB, is scheduled for an alpha release late in October. "In preparation of our open source release, we're assembling a panel of business integration developers to provide input on the application's features, functionality and usability," Bostech President David Bourke said.

ChainBuilder ESB enables an enterprise's disparate software systems to plug into their strategic ESB/SOA infrastructures. ChainBuilder ESB components are written in Java and easily configured via a graphical user interface plugged in an Eclipse development platform. The product's adherence to the JBI specification and use with open source tools like Eclipse, illustrates Bostech's commitment to standards-based, open technology. The Alpha release of ChainBuilder ESB includes several editors, including component flow, mapping, custom format and EDI X12 editors.

Bourke said the advisory panel is a way to involve Bostech's central market in the product's development. "In order to stay close to our core user---the Java developer or business integration lead---we're building a panel of these very developers to access the pre-release version of the ESB. We not only want them to be the first users, we want to incorporate their feedback into the application."

The members of the panel will be given access to ChainBuilder ESB the week prior to the official launch of the alpha product and months prior to commercial release. Any member contributing feedback will be recognized on ChainForge.net, the site hosting the open source download, and in the documentation for the commercial version of the software.

Developers who have at least 3 years business integration or Java experience can apply to join the Java Business Integration Developer Advisory Panel online at http://www.bostechcorp.com, or contact 614-918-2880.
