Office 2.0 Conference Announces Keynote Speakers
WebKnowHow IT|Redux has announced the keynote speakers for the first Office 2.0 Conference. Esther Dyson, editor at large at CNET and Andrew McAfee, associate professor at Harvard Business School will address the audience at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco, CA on October 11, 2006, from 8:00am to 9:30am. Esther Dyson writes the blog ‘Release 0.9’. She sold her business, EDventure Holdings, to CNET Networks in early 2004. She has written and edited ‘Release 1.0’ and led EDventure’s PC Forum Conference since 1983. An active angel investor, Dyson’s past investments include Flickr and del.icio.us. She also sits on the boards of start-ups, meetup.com and eventful.com. Andrew McAfee joined the faculty of the Technology and Operations Management Unit at Harvard Business School in 1998. He was the recipient of a US Department of Energy Integrated Manufacturing Fellowship for his doctoral research, and is currently exploring how Web 2.0 technologies can be used within the enterprise. The conference will showcase technology demonstration from more than 60 of the hottest start-ups in the Office 2.0 applications space. Over 350 industry luminaries and influencers will attend the event, including more than 40 investors and 60 press and analysts. “We have been lucky to secure two such prestigious figures as Esther and Andrew for the conference,” said Ismael Ghalimi, founder and organizer of the Office 2.0 Conference and CEO of Intalio, the leading vendor of Open Source BPM software. “They are two of the most influential names in this space, and I’m sure they will bring great insight for the attendees. In total, we have selected more than 100 speakers and panelists for this event, ranging from serial entrepreneurs and institutional investors, to senior media figures and highly-respected academics. I think that all attendees will leave the conference more educated and prepared to deliver and implement Office 2.0 applications in the workspace.” The Conference is sponsored by 30 Boxes, 3TERA, ActiveGrid, Atlassian, Attensa, BEA, Blogtronix, Business Wire, Caspio, CNET, Coghead, CollectiveX, ConnectBeam, Dabble DB, Delicious Monster, Devon Group, EchoSign, Embrace Mobile, Etelos, Extentech, Fenwick & West, Foldera, Genius.com, Google, Guidewire Group, HP, IBD Network, IBM, iNetOffice, Intalio, iRadeon, Itensil, Jive Software, Joyent, Kanosis, Koral, Lewis PR, LiveKiosk, Lohika, Near-Time, Netvibes, oDesk, Preezo, SAP, SiteKreator, Smartsheet.com, Socialtext, Stormhoek, SugarCRM, System One, Techdirt, TECHMarket, ThinkFree, vivapop, WebEx, YouSendIt, and Zoho.
