Webwag.com, a personalizable start page service in the web 2.0 move, launched in September in Europe and the US, entered a strategic partnership to launch the personalized search service with Yahoo, one web search leader and inventor of the keyword-based sponsorlink ads.

With its mini web windows called widgets, the Webwag service helps users to design their internet start page such as an universal mash-up with news and blogs feeds of their choice, check several emails accounts in a same widget, listen podcasts with an iPod skin player, show local weather forecast, manage alerts, read maps and to install all the available web 2.0 online services in general.

Thanks to the search solutions of Yahoo, Webwag users are offered a unique and exclusive search experience: through one single query to search both inside my personal web, that is sites and blogs installed as a widget by the user himself, and the world wide web as a whole.

In addition, the sponsorlinks of the tens of thousands US and Europe advertisers of Yahoo Search Marketing will be also displayed to the Webwag users.

The agreement covers US, Canada and the following European countries: UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain. It will soon be extended to other continents.

The CEO founder of Webwag, Franck Poisson said “Webwag helps users to personalize their start page on the internet, especially with the content they can install there. Now is available a search tool that queries their personal portal content in addition to the web as a whole. Both the world wide web and the so-called 'personal wide web' are gathered inside Webwag and searchable through the Yahoo search engine.”

Webwag.com is a web 2.0 personalizable start page launched in early September 2006 by Franck Poisson, 39, formerly founder of the Google sales office and operations in France (2002-2004). Prior to Google, Poisson was director of advertising sales respectively at the web directory Looksmart France (2000-2001) and at the French branch of America On Line (1998-2000).

One month after its public launch, Webwag is already used in more than 30 countries.
