Imperva Offers Free Webinar on Top 10 Database Attacks

Data security company Imperva is holding a free webinar on database protection. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 2:00 PM EDT and Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 12:00 PM EDT. Space is limited to 100 participants. The webinar will provide a demonstration of a live database attack, offer insight on how criminals identify their targets while showing what tools they use, and teach how to defend against the Top 10 database attacks.

Imperva said that corporate databases and their contents are vulnerable to attack from outside the organization by criminals, and from insiders with malicious intent. Most break-in attempts use one of 10 well known exploits. By defending against these top 10 attacks, users can render your database virtually impenetrable. The Imperva presentation will demonstrate the steps involved in carrying out these 10 database exploits including gaining initial access, taking control of the database, and ultimately compromising sensitive data.
