Renasoft released a free version of its Personal Site Server, which
includes a web server, InstaFlash Web Designer and its own
FlameOn technology for creating web pages using drag and drop
components. Personal Site Server utilizes new technologies to enable anyone
to create web pages from beginning to end without having to use
templates. Using InstaFlash web designer users can begin to experience real web
page design without knowing any HTML. It implements a full drag
and drop framework that allows the user to place and size objects
anywhere on the page. InstaFlash works within the web browser so user can connect remotely and work on a web site. Web based presentations can be created using timed events for auto pagenext and built-in fade-in, fade-out effects.
The FlameOn technology provides endless colors of graphic objects and
backgrounds. Graphics and background colors can be changed even after
they are placed on the page.
The NetJetServer application (part of Personal Site Server) is an
advanced web server that gives users the ability to run as many web
sites as their computer and Internet connection is capable of.
Users can elect to save their web pages so they be hosted else where on the Internet.
The free version also allows users to add members to their sites and give
them the permission to create their own web pages. Because the designer
is browser-based there is nothing for the members to install.
The drag and drop framework is easy to understand and permits anyone
with very little skill to create new components that they can give away
or market themselves.
InstaFlash Designer can also be used to create flyers, handouts,
letters to family, friends, or business, brochures, advertisements and
marketing materials, banners, school papers, presentations and training
materials, slide shows, prototypes of applications, scrap booking pages
and designs, photograph collections and albums, awards and
certificates, calendars and reminders etc.
