Microsoft has made available for download the first release candidate of the Internet Explorer 7 browser.  This version provides all the functionalities expected in the final release, and is more stable than the previous beta releases.  Download options are provided at the Microsoft website for users with Windows XP with SP1 or SP2, as well as Windows Server 2003.  The downloads are available only to Microsoft customers running genuine Microsoft Windows.

"Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) Release Candidate 1 (RC1) has been designed to make everyday tasks easier, provide dynamic security protection and improve the development platform and manageability. End user improvements include a streamlined interface, tabbed browsing, printing advances, improved search functionality, instant feeds (RSS), dynamic security protection, and more."

For those willing to try the latest version of the most popular browser, the official Internet Explorer blog provides a dedicated IE7 reference sheet at http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/attachment/715071.ashx.
