The recently launched Trailfire is a free service that allows bloggers to place multimedia rich comments on any Web page and automatically link related Web pages to form a trail, or navigation path. With Trailfire, bloggers add commentary to any existing Web page and link pages together to communicate their views and share information.

Trailfire integrates with Internet Explorer and Firefox and is designed to provide bloggers with a more advanced way to organize and share content on the Web. Trails can be used to organize and annotate Web pages, as well as communicate a point of view. Bloggers share trails by posting them in a blog or by sending them in e-mail.

Trailfire enables bloggers to place comments on any web page. Comments can include text, images, videos, and other multimedia files. Bloggers can link comments on Web pages to create a trail of any length and insert the trail within a blog to extend their narrative to other Web pages. Comments and trails can be viewed by anyone on the Web. Users can also choose to make comments and trails private and accessible by designated viewers only.

Trailfire is a free service. The beta version is available at www.trailfire.com.
