Ektron and Sitepoint Team Up to Sample Web Trends

Ektron, Inc., provider of web content management software, announced it is conducting a survey of web developers with SitePoint Pty Ltd, the publisher of SitePoint.com, an online magazine for web designers and developers.

The survey will sample what technologies and techniques web developers are using, as well as identify emerging trends and issues they face in their work, such as compliance with web development standards. Visitors who complete the survey will be eligible to win a 20-inch Dell flat panel monitor. In addition, the data collected will be compiled and made available first to respondents via email, then posted on both the SitePoint.com and Ektron DevCenter sites. The survey is open to the public and runs through July 15, 2006.

The survey consists of two pages with questions about current and intended web development practices.  The person taking the server can answer the questions by selecting one or several of the provided options.  The final question, for which no ready-made answers are provided, is "What is the next big thing on the web?"
