Seattle-based XoomPad.com launched its new satellite mapping service to free real estate agents and brokers from dependence on 4-5 large Real Estate firms monopolizing the Internet today. President and CEO of XoomPad.com, Vipin Singh, said XoomPad.com is built on one of the most scalable and robust technology platforms existing today, viz LAMP, (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP). While the big Real estate brokerage firms have launched new websites featuring the latest mapping technologies, they often do not work on all browsers. Some Internet sites do not work on the latest version of IE and some do not work on Mozilla Firefox. XoomPad works equally well on all existing browsers, ending the widespread 'browser barrier' that is rampant today.

Vipin says XoomPad was created "by agents, for agents" and its mission is to empower the independent Real Estate agents while protecting the consumer from "day trading" their life savings away in "do it yourself" type real estate transactions where thousands of dollars can be lost due to lack of experience and expertise. The average consumer is easily misled by the empty promise of new technologies, tries to do it all by himself and this gives rise to behavior which led to the Internet Stock trading bust. In addition, the average real estate agent is often left standing alone, nickeled and dimmed by the huge old world companies and squeezed on the other end by hot shot Internet companies.

While everyone agrees that the prospective home buyers' use of the Internet while house hunting has sky rocketed in the last 3 years, XoomPad is taking this trend a step further by providing the most advanced tools to the average real estate agents. Paul Tretter, VP of Marketing for XoomPad says, "Our best features are the lead management system in the back end, built to help real estate agent/broker teams manage the leads. We also give consumers the best mapping technologies for aerial view of homes and neighborhoods to get information in a timely fashion."

"XoomPad has super fast home listings search results provided in satellite images and aerial photos of homes and neighborhoods," says Rick Oxford, a Broker with Keller Williams North Seattle Office. Rick goes on to say that "I am biased as I helped Vipin and XoomPad build the features that real estate agent teams needed." He says that today he is surprised by the lack of features built-in for teams in any online lead management system. Vipin has been fine tuning his idea of marrying technology with real estate industry since 2000 when he co-founded a technology company and was planning on integrating local satellite maps for event data. His company was successfully sold to a public company and Vipin was shocked that the real estate industry did not use this technology. When local Internet startups started to hype up the technology and disregard the real estate agents, XoomPad accelerated its development plans to get the truth out about the value of real estate agents and experts by providing them the best technology.

XoomPad's first customer is UrbanTango.com which is an agent website of the Keller Williams franchise office in North Seattle. At KW Vipin found a different approach a group of agents working together, which allowed him to get out of selling real estate and build a team for XoomPad products, while the KW agents act as a family helping each other. The XoomPad technical team is working hard to launch 6 other agent and broker sites within the next 10 days, soon to be followed by over 100 in the next 30 days. XoomPad is in final contract discussions to launch over 100 Real Estate agent websites for Keller William regional offices and agents in the State of Washington. Vipin says the reception by the agents and brokers has exceeded his expectations. He says the #1 agent for a very large real estate company called, saying his company did not support his website, all they cared about was their own, and that he wanted to buy his tools for his own website. "We are constantly validated in our mission to help each and every real estate agent, because we know they care about consumers," says Vipin. XoomPad has started plans to build broker/agent sites within 50 major US cities and MLS systems within 90 days.

XoomPad.com is a division of MyTypes, Inc. a Seattle based company with venture funding from real estate industry insiders and technology veterans. Each office of Keller Williams is independently owned and operated.
