With the number of online purchases increasing every day, shoppers now
have a new option for checkout out online. Google Checkout, the latest
development from Google, provides a safe, secure checkout process for
online sales. MonsterCommerce, a Network Solutions company, announced it is among the first e-commerce providers in the industry to adopt Google’s latest technology.
MonsterCommerce recently became fully accredited to meet
Visa’s Cardholder Information Security Program standards and
regulations. This, combined with the new Google Checkout technology,
will provide safe and secure transactions for customers who shop at
stores powered by MonsterCommerce, said the company.
In addition to this added security, Google Checkout
also provides added convenience to online shopping. Customers will no
longer need to reference their credit card each time they make a
purchase. Contact and billing information, as well as credit card
numbers, are stored securely in customers' Google Checkout accounts.
Once customers have created their user account, complete with payment
and contact information, they are free to shop the web at stores that
offer Google Checkout.
Once they have finished shopping, customers arrive at the virtual
checkout. Google Checkout will appear as an option, and when selected,
customers will be prompted for their user name and password to approve
the purchase. The records of all transactions will be accessible
through their Google Checkout user account, no matter where they shop
online.
All stores that use MonsterCommerce’s shopping cart have the
opportunity to offer Google Checkout. MonsterCommerce clients who elect
to offer Google Checkout as a checkout option will benefit from the
Google Checkout badge. This icon appears in the Google AdWords ads of
stores that offer Google Checkout, making it easy for shoppers to
locate participating stores.
