Kazeon unveiled a breakthrough solution with Google that extends enterprise search deep into the storage infrastructure. The integration of Kazeon’s award-winning Information Server IS1200 with Google OneBox for Enterprise provides more users easier access to the billions of files scattered across corporate servers, archives and disk-based backups.

This integration of Kazeon’s category-defining enterprise search and indexing product with the Google Search Appliance enables enterprise customers to easily locate and retrieve sensitive data, comply with regulations and respond quickly to litigation discovery requests. Now, users can enter keywords and phrases into a familiar Google search interface and get the most relevant search results from data residing across globally distributed corporate network storage systems – on the same screen with their Google results.

“Enterprise customers can now easily reach deep into enterprise servers and storage through a unified interface,” said Sudhakar Muddu, CEO and co-founder of Kazeon.  “This combination of Google’s quality search experience and Kazeon’s storage search delivers the industry’s most comprehensive search for legal discovery, data privacy and compliance applications.”

Corporations are forced to handle thousands of regulations, hundreds of lawsuits and new data security threats every day. It is now essential that every enterprise be able to track and locate the information stored across all servers and storage devices. Until now, there has been no efficient way to search through the billions of files in hundreds of formats, residing in storage systems across corporate networks. The scalable and optimized search solution from Kazeon, combined with the Google Search Appliance, will enable the enforcement of data privacy and compliance policies, as well as increase the speed and accuracy of legal discovery.

"As Kazeon brings the power of Google enterprise search to archives, disk-to-disk backups, and additional types of file storage via Kazeon’s products, our customers will benefit from the ease-of-use and efficiency of the Google OneBox for Enterprise feature of the Google Search Appliance," said Kevin Smith, Partner Program Manager for Google Enterprise.  “From a simple search box, with no training, enterprise users can quickly locate critical information stored anywhere on a corporate network.”

Kazeon’s IS1200 is an indexing platform optimized for searching large backup stores and corporate archives. It can support a range of applications from file recovery to legal discovery and archive search. The IS1200 delivers a full text search capability that supports flexible entity extraction along with proximity and parametric searches. The system can recognize more than 370 different kinds of files including MS Office, PDF, .zip containers and a variety of email formats. Files can be located on any Windows, Unix or Linux server and can also be in NAS appliances or EMC Centera storage. In addition to Google OneBox support, search queries and results can be processed through a simple web-based search interface. The Kazeon web-interface integrates the Google Search Appliance search and result view enabling users to enter a search request one time and see the combined search results in a single screen.

A new feature of the Google Search Appliance, Google OneBox for Enterprise delivers relevant, real-time information from enterprise sources, such as CRM, ERP and business intelligence systems, based on a user's search query. Google OneBox for Enterprise can provide users with secure access to everything from simple phone book listings to graphs of inventory levels and sales trends. Current OneBox partners include Cisco, Cognos, Employease, Netsuite, Oracle, Salesforce.com, and SAS.
