WS02 Releases Tungsten v.1.0 Open Source Application Server

WSO2 announced the release of WSO2 Tungsten/Java version 1.0.  Tungsten is an open source application server, geared for SOA deployment.  It is based on XML and Web services. Through a combination of Apache Web services projects Tungsten is packed with full enterprise quality features including security and reliability.

Tungsten is available via an Apache license, as are all WSO2 products. The company will sell support services for Tungsten, with prices starting at US$3,000 for one- to two-server deployment per year.

WSO2 was founded in August 2005 by leaders in Web services standards and open source software. The company operates in the fields of building Web services middleware, offering leading products, support and services. WSO2 is a global corporation with offices located in Boston, USA, Portsmouth, UK and Colombo, Sri Lanka.
