DataTaxi.com today announced the official launch of their service. DataTaxi.com allows users to transfer large files in a way that does not over-burden recipient's email inboxes.

The new and free service allows internet users to upload a file up to 512 Megabytes onto the website and type in the recipient's email address. The recipient is then notified by email to go to a site where he or she can download the file for a period of seven days.

The service is aimed towards web-design, advertising and new media companies who regularly need to send high-resolution images to clients. Users benefit from sending and receiving electronic copies of files rather than having to incur the expense and delay of using couriers.
