4Domains, Inc. Launches Domain Name Auction Site

4Domains, Inc. announced today that they have launched their new Domain Auction site at www.DotPound.com. The company said is the first domain auction site that is free of listings and transaction fees. The domain name site reflects a dog pound but for domain names thus the name: dot pound.

“We look at this site as a monument to the industry for providing a free service maintained by an ICANN Accredited Registrar to benefit the entire registrar and web hosting industry,” said Chuck Steinberger, CEO of 4Domains, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SEInc. “Our motivation initially for this site was to offer some of our larger domain customers an exit strategy for their large domain holdings. But as the project grew we realized that we could also increase the demand for registering new domain names and buying expired domain names if we provided a free auction service.”
