TagTooga.com now
provides the ability to add shareware and freeware listings. Authors
may add software products to any categorized listing in TagTooga simply
by submitting the URL of the PAD (XML) file.
"It is a simple, 1-step process that provides very targeted marketing
for shareware authors.", said Matt Fausey, founder and CEO of Tortuga
Group LLC. "Authors can list software in each relevant category, or may
create new categories. Because it's a wiki, there is no waiting or
approval process, and the Internet community will decide what is good
and what is bad."
Some shareware companies have already been very active in promoting
software on TagTooga.com. Nevron LLC, a data visualization component
vendor, is one such company. It currently lists 13 products on
TagTooga.com in approximately 50 different matching categories. Each
listing provides real-time information on page views and
click-throughs. The most popular listings automatically bubble to the
top of the page over time. "It is important to get an early lead by
submitting your software now rather than later", said Fausey. "Late
additions have a hard time catching up because they will begin with a
deficit in click-through score. If you believe TagTooga.com to be a
site with growing popularity, it is important to establish your
listings as soon as possible."
Founded in 2005, Tortuga Group LLC, is a Web 2.0 company that owns
and operates TagTooga.com, a wiki web application that allows everyday
users to contribute in organizing and categorizing the content of the
Web using any Web browser.
