Stampede Technologies and Tarari Partner to Provide Acceleration Solutions for AJAX, SOA and XML Applications

Leaders in Acceleration Technology to Offer a Combined Solution for Accelerating the New Enterprise Web Applications

May 3, 2006; 02:39 AM
Stampede(R) Technologies, Inc. (www.stampede.com), a leading provider of enterprise acceleration solutions, and Tarari(R) Inc., the award-winning acceleration company, announced that Stampede is now offering the Tarari Random Access XML (RAX) Content Processor (RAX-CP) as a component of its Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Optimization Services previously announced as part of the Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series(TM). This capability adds to the full featured acceleration solution provided by Stampede, and expands the usability of Stampede into enterprises deploying mission critical, Extensible Markup Language (XML) intensive applications.

Stampede offers a unique approach for application acceleration through its combination of a hardware appliance and client software. "By adding acceleration to the appliance for XML processing, the Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series becomes even more strategic to the enterprise," said Gordon Dorworth, Stampede Technologies' President and CEO. "We are pleased to partner with Tarari, and believe incorporating their technology as part of Stampede's comprehensive offering provides the broadest range of acceleration available."

Stampede's XML acceleration will be offered in two different configurations depending on the needs of the enterprise. For those enterprises just getting started with XML, or with limited XML activity, Stampede will offer a software version of Tarari's RAX capability. For the larger enterprise with more pressing XML demands, the RAX acceleration is available as a hardware option.

Coupled with Stampede's visionary client technology for bi-directional application acceleration, including the recently announced Acceleration On-Demand(TM) client, the Tarari RAX functionality will initially offer:

-- XML Schema Validation

-- Content-based Routing

Both are logical extensions of Stampede's previously announced enhancements for:

-- XML Document Differencing

-- Bi-directional XML Document Compression

-- Bi-direction XML Document Streaming

"Adding the Tarari RAX-CP to Stampede's suite of enterprise acceleration solutions keeps them on the leading edge," said Randy Smerik, president and CEO of Tarari, Inc. "The combination of Tarari and Stampede offers customers a compelling solution that consolidates acceleration solutions into a single platform."

When the hardware option is selected, the Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series takes advantage of the latest advances in silicon content processing technologies from Tarari to provide:

-- XML Content Inspection

-- Well-formedness Checking

-- Robust XDoS Detection

-- Message Anomaly Detection

Availability

The Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series with Tarari will be available August 1 as a full solution pre-installed on a certified hardware platform. Pricing for an entry-level configuration starts at $40,000 for a single appliance with RAX-CP software functionality, and $50,000 for the hardware version.

Stampede will be exhibiting the Stampede Web 2.0 Performance Series with Tarari at Interop 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 30 - May 5, 2006 at Stampede booth #459 and Tarari booth #575. In addition to exhibiting, Tom Yohe, Stampede's Vice President of Engineering, will be participating in a panel discussion on Improving Remote User and Branch Office Performance at Interop 2006 on May 3, at 10:15 A.M.
