Microcost today joined the Google Enterprise Professional program and complemented the Google Apps service launch by announcing immediate availability of a complete enterprise Web 2.0 platform. Designed to reduce costs and change the way we work, the solution aggregates market-leading technologies and is centered on Google Enterprise products.

"We at Microcost have for some time had a very clear vision of what enterprise Web 2.0 can do for our clients and are very happy that Google's launch of Google Apps Premier Edition now allows us to deliver on our vision," said Louis Naugès, President.

"By aggregating Google Enterprise components with those of our carefully selected technology partners (including Citrix Systems and SalesForce.com) using our standards based Microcost Fusion™ platform, we are able to provide secure access anywhere, anytime to all corporate information via the new, personalised Google Start Page user experience," adds Sam Johnston, CTO. "Having been the first European consulting firm to participate in the Google Enterprise Professional training for Google Apps in Mountain View has allowed us to simultaneously launch with Google Apps Premier Edition."

Google Apps™ brings simple, powerful communication and collaboration tools to organizations using their own domain name. With the Google Apps™ service, users can use tools like Gmail™, Google Calendar™, Google Talk™, and Google Docs & Spreadsheets™ on their own domain to stay connected and work together more effectively. Best of all, it's all hosted by Google, so there's no hardware or software to download, install or maintain.

"Google is excited to have Microcost as a consulting partner in the Google Enterprise Professional program. We're looking forward to Microcost enhancing Google Apps by providing consulting, training and implementation expertise to customers," said Kevin Smith, Head of Enterprise Partnerships at Google.

Microcost's major international clients, including Essilor, L'Oreal and Nexans (world leaders in optics, cosmetics and cabling and cabling systems respectively) have envisioned significant gains and have joined the Google Apps early adopters program. "Microcost has helped us to select the best enterprise Web 2.0 tools on the market," said Didier Lambert, CIO of Essilor.

"With the launch of Google Apps, Microcost should help us deliver an accessible, easy to use collaborative suite while realising significant cost reductions," adds Yves Trézieres, CIO of Nexans.
