Site9, the pioneering software company that's radically redefining the web development process, announced today that three recognized leaders in interactive marketing have joined its Product Advisory Board: Steve Gray, Technology Director at Avenue A/Razorfish; Bruce Mowery, prominent technology marketing consultant and former head of marketing for Apple Computer; and Peter Weiss, consultant and well-regarded integrated advertising executive. The Advisory Board will provide strategic guidance for the innovative Site9 Launch Platform web development software. Launch Platform represents the next generation in web development, enabling non-programmers to quickly plan, build, and manage highly interactive, enterprise-class websites.

"We are thrilled that these accomplished individuals see the enormous value that Launch Platform offers the interactive community," said Donald E. Carter, CEO of Site9. "We look forward to their insight and vision as we dramatically change the way websites are created and managed."

"Having managed web development from both a client and agency perspective, I've acquired a keen appreciation of how the process can be improved," said Mowery. "Site9's software approach holds the promise of revolutionizing the mechanics of web design, making it faster, easier and more cost efficient, so more of my energy can be focused on what really counts -- creating exciting ideas that build online businesses."

Launch Platform enables designers and other non-programmers to quickly prototype, build, and manage highly interactive, dynamic, custom websites. The software transforms the standard painstaking, page-at-a-time web development process into a collaborative, integrated, design-to-deployment process. "Web development processes are still too inefficient, complicated and costly, noted Gray. "Web developers are in dire need of a more fluid and collaborative process."

With features such as live site mapping, WYSIWYG wireframing and rich modular functionality that can expand creative freedom, Launch Platform users can conceptualize, develop, and deploy cutting-edge interactive websites in ways never before possible. Through Command, the tool's browser-based site management environment, external or internal clients can easily add or edit content, update product lines, create new store categories, update or change navigation, optimize pages for search engines and more. "Site9's software can help improve both creative capabilities and profit margins, whether it's an interactive agency working on behalf of its clients or a large in-house developer with multiple stakeholders in a company's eCommerce capability," added Weiss. "Lowering operating costs while raising creative standards is the right combination for the industry."
