Major Update of Yahoo! Widgets JavaScript Engine

Yahoo! Widgets Engine is now v3.1.  The update includes new widget formats, security enhancements, startup prefs, API, myYahoo RSS widget, and more.

Yahoo! Widgets are small programs, which bring more functionality to the desktop of either Windows or Macintosh computers.  In order to use them, users need to download and install the Yahoo! Widget Engine. The Yahoo! Widget Engine (formerly known as Konfabulator) is a JavaScript runtime engine for Windows and Mac OS X.

Currently the Widgets site hosts dozens of various widgets, ranging from the useful to the outright weird.  They are freely available for download.  Most of them are the creations of widget enthusiasts.
