It
seems with ever Microsoft product offering, controversy soon follows.
Microsoft Smart Tags, used to link words on a web site to specific
outside web sites without the webmaster's consent, this the newest
issue. Simply, Microsoft will insert links where links were not
intended to go, a feature that is, by default, turned off through
Office XP and not offered at this time
through the newly introduced Windows XP operating system. However,
some webmasters, like myself, would rather not take the chance and
include a meta tag which will prevent the smart tags from executing.
To
use this meta tags, insert the following into the head portion of
your document:
<meta
name="MSSmartTagsPreventParsing" content="TRUE">
Enjoy.
