National Geographic came to Fusionbox to redesign their site in
order to gain better brand awareness and search engine visibility.
Despite its well-established brand name, the current site was not
conveying the National Geographic brand standard or design aesthetic.
Fusionbox worked with National Geographic Maps marketing to develop a
new site design that is both compelling and search engine friendly.
National Geographic was also in need of a dynamic web site that could
be changed quickly and easily through a content management system. This
kind of functionality allows an administrator to add products and
information on the fly. Fusionbox was able to provide National
Geographic with a new web design that is easy to use and minimizes the
learning curve for National Geographic's web administrators. "I
appreciate the ease with which we can and and change information," said
Gavin Maurer, Vice President of Marketing and Ecommerce for National
Geographic Maps. "It's exactly what we had hoped for... we are excited
to continue the next phases."
"We are thrilled to be working with National Geographic. They are
truly one of the world's most reputable brands in American History,"
said Fusionbox President, Alexander Groth. "The next phase will be to
develop an organized, interactive meeting place for the GPS and mapping
communities. With our technological expertise, and their vision, we'll
be able to make that happen."
