Black Hat DC Training 2007
Hackers of the world, unite! If you need the knowhow to firmly secure your network or website against the proverbial "malicious individuals" who seem to like nothing better than to "exploit vulnerabilties" and "execute arbitrary code," why not learn what these folks actually do?
Black Hat DC Training 2007 takes place in Sheraton Crystal City, February 26-March 1. The event features lectures and practical sessions, as well as appearances by renown information and computer security professionals. On-site registration rates currently in effect.
March is PHP Bugs Month
As spring approaches and nature wakes, as streams run wild and trees go green, there comes that time of the year when you have to sit in front of your computer and code hard in order to optimize programming languages. Or at least that is the idea behind the "Month of PHP Bugs" initiative, ogranized by the Hardened PHP project. Note: People who live in the Southern Hemisphere or outside temperate zones are welcome to substitute the quaint spring metaphor above with whatever they feel is more appropriate.
Jokes aside, PHP is one of the most widely used programming languages, and one which is often accused of being responsible for numerous security threats online. Independently of whether you agree with that school of thought, or consider any application to be simply as good as its authors, improving a popular web development tool should be A Good Idea™ in your book.
